Astar Network Advances its zkEVM ecosystem and Discloses Plans to Launch a Test Network
The Polkadot ecosystem’s subsidiary, Astar Network, is prepared to debut its zkEVM environment this month with the introduction of its testnet.
The zkEVM testnet will go live this month, according to a statement made by Astar last week. It is driven by Polygon’s CDK and constructed utilizing Layer 2 infrastructure provider Gelato Network.
The Astar zkEVM testnet has also opened registrations for early access on the cross-chain network, allowing web3 developers to use its features while they are still in the development stage. The unique zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) technology is used by zkEVM, an Ethereum compatible smart-contract execution environment, to maximize network performance. Recent interchain advances have focused on zkEVMs, a primitive that is largely controlled by Polygon.
The development of Astar zkEVM has reportedly been finished, and it has been integrated with Sepolia bridge, according to a recent post. The Bridge UI project is being worked on by the team and is anticipated to be finished earlier than the testnet launch.
