The price of Bitcoin (BTC), the biggest cryptocurrency, has crossed $40,000 as the week-long strong run continues.

With a rise of more than 10% over the last seven days, the price of bitcoin has exceeded $40,000 for the first time since April 2022. As of this writing, the price of bitcoin has crossed $41,200, according to Coinmarketcap data on the cryptocurrency market.

The excitement surrounding spot Bitcoin ETFs, which will allow a wide range of traditional and institutional investors to have exposure to Bitcoin, is driving up the price of the cryptocurrency. A minimum of one spot Bitcoin ETF may be approved by the SEC soon, according to recent actions taken by the agency.

Huge financial firms including VanEck, Fidelity, Grayscale, Valkyrie, and the biggest asset management, BlackRock, are waiting to be approved for their own Bitcoin exchange funds.
