On Wednesday, renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin announced a collaboration with Marvel, a prominent comic book publisher, and unveiled an exclusive physical capsule line with the behemoth of the entertainment industry.

NFTs are offered as a free bonus to customers who buy the actual shoes and accessories. Christian Louboutin’s classic shoes are known for their astronomical costs, nevertheless.

If customers buy something from Louboutin’s Marvel capsule, they will get the “Sea Warrior Special Edition” NFT collectible as a present. The Sea Warrior Special Edition NFT, which retails for $3,495 in real life, is based on the company’s 100mm high gladiator sandals that were inspired by the original Marvel Namor.

Attendees of the lunch event for the cooperation will get the “Sea Queen” as “digital tokens of appreciation.” The collectible features a hand-drawn depiction of a unique, one-of-a-kind shoe that was bought at auction. Christian Louboutin’s signature can be found on the digital version.

On the Ethereum network, an app-based marketplace for authorized digital valuables, the VeVe produced both tokens. VeVe, a company that specialized in licensed brands, brought Marvel and other licensed brands to the NFT market, including Star Wars and Disney. The app offers a 3D augmented reality photo option for use with the tokens.

This partnership is also related to Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration. NFTs and a physical limited-edition comic book showcasing the eponymous designer as a superhero will be given to 1,500 of Louboutin’s top customers.
