The question of how the surprise operation was funded during the Israel-Palestine war may have an answer in cryptocurrencies. In the meanwhile, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police is looking into a cryptocurrency case in which a businessman from West Delhi had his wallet stolen of almost 4 crore rupees.
Information was provided regarding a suspect wallet that allegedly distributes money to terrorist organizations by Israel’s Mossad spy agency. The digital currency was transferred to wallets linked to the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian organization Hamas. These wallets have already been confiscated by Israel’s National Bureau for Counter-Terror Financing.
When Special Cell’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Opos (IFSO) compared the wallets, it was found that several of them had received the stolen Bitcoin and Ethereum funds from Delhi. These wallets were run by Hamas’s cyberterrorist factions.
One of the wallets belonged to Naseer Ibrahim Abdulla in Gaza, according to the technical investigation, and other wallets were connected to Hamas members such Ahmed QH Safi in Ramallah, Palestine, and Ahmed Marzooq in Giza. Before it was found in the suspected accounts, the stolen cryptocurrency was transferred through a number of private wallets.
Recently, the bitcoin accounts used by Hamas for fundraising were frozen by the Israeli Police’s cyber division. Binance Assists Israel Authorities in Blocking Crypto Funds Linked to Hamas.
