DOGE Payment for Cybertruck Has Been Found in The Code of Tesla Cybertruck Website Page

Over 50 references to Dogecoin (DOGE) may be found in the source code for Tesla‘s much-anticipated Cybertruck pre-order page, which debuted in late November. No other coin was granted such exclusive placement.

The allusions, which were first noticed in October by cryptocurrency influencer Marty Party, are a reflection of Elon Musk’s well-known affection for the meme coin. Although DOGE is already accepted by Tesla for retail transactions, the Cybertruck code suggests that adoption might be much higher.

Unfortunately, Dogecoin was not available as a payment option when Cybertruck pre-orders started with much hoopla. However, Musk’s fondness for DOGE and the internal preference for it give optimism for future functionality.

Tesla would not be the first company to use cryptocurrency for payments. Before Tesla discontinued the option in early 2021 due to environmental concerns, Bitcoin had some time in the spotlight for car purchases.

As of right moment, Tesla’s code contains a teaser of Dogecoin’s prominence. But if Elon Musk has his way, DOGE might still become the preferred form of payment when Tesla’s eagerly anticipated Cybertruck finally hits the road.
