Genesis Has 5 Days Deadline to Produce Subpoenaed Documents With Terra Subpoena
According to a filing made by Terraform Labs on October 13 in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, a United States Judge has authorized an order compelling Genesis Global firms to provide specific records.
Genesis has been granted until October 18 to submit the needed records in response to a subpoena from Terraform Labs, according to the judge’s five-day limit set by Jed Rakoff.
A legal subpoena filed on September 12 obliged Genesis to submit the desired records by the date of October 9, according to the petition, despite the fact that the request was not quite explicit as to the precise records it sought.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed the order in February as a part of a complaint it had brought against Terraform Labs and Do Kwon, its co-founder and CEO.
While the litigation against Terraform Labs is still pending in the United States, Do Kwon is presently completing a four-month prison sentence in Montenegro for using phony travel documents.
