Magic Eden Introducing Tokenized Digital Collectibles, A New Way to Collect Tokenized Pokémon Cards
On October 18, 100 Pokémon cards will be released as tokenized digital treasures by Magic Eden, an NFT marketplace, in collaboration with Collector, a RWA company with offices in Solana.
The Solana-based firm Collector is leading the first drop, which is set for October 18 and will include 100 legendary Pokémon cards, according to the tweet. The highlights of renowned cards including “2007 Pokemon Ex Power Keepers, Gold Star No. 100 Flareon-Holo,” “2006 Pokemon Ex Crystal Guardians Holo Charizard,” and “2000 Pokemon Gym Challenge 1st Edition Holo Blaine’s Charizard.”
Every card has a 100% physical backing to guarantee its validity and worth in the real world. Collectors have the option of exchanging their virtual tokens for physical cards. By combining the worlds of tangible collectibles and digital collectibles, this approach provides a unique collecting experience. The cards’ secret minting will give them the “reveal lottery” component that NFT aficionados are used to.
Magic Eden is one of the most well-known exchanges for RWAs, or real-world assets tokenized on the blockchain. It just debuted a $1 million fund aimed at innovators who are actively creating projects within the Polygon blockchain as well as “compressed NFTs” (cNFTs) on the Solana blockchain.
