Mastercard has teamed with MoonPay to investigate and implement additional web3 technologies for connecting with customers.
The collaboration will look into Web3 tools and technology that can help Mastercard’s marketing initiatives reach a larger audience. Both of these companies will also benefit from one other’s technology in order to improve and thrive.
According to the announcement, MoonPay will also integrate Mastercard’s products and solutions, such as Mastercard Send and Click to Pay, into its Web3 stack in order to increase payment industry confidence, compliance, and efficiency.
Otherlife, MoonPay’s creative services and development arm, will play an important role in this collaboration.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Mastercard, a prominent supporter of Web3 and the digital economy, to redefine customer loyalty and engagement,” said MoonPay co-founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright, adding that the company will use blockchain technology to create new opportunities for establishing unique connections and meaningful moments.
