On Wednesday, the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Norman Rockwell Family launched a new endeavor. They are starting a series that blends digital and physical art and will make it available to collectors via NFTs.
The title of this series is “Studio Sessions: The Norman Rockwell Collection.” It’s the Rockwell estate’s first foray into the world of NFTs. They collaborated with Iconic, a digital platform that assists traditional art groups in experimenting with new technology. Iconic previously collaborated with the Jackson Pollock Studio on the Ethereum network to issue a similar set of NFTs.
“Studio Sessions” will be available exclusively on Iconic’s website on November 1, and the artworks contained in this collection will be kept hidden until the release date. The NFTs will be available for purchase using a credit card or Ethereum, though the exact costs for each piece have yet to be revealed.
The proceeds from the auction will go toward the Norman Rockwell Museum’s major goals of making Rockwell’s art available to the public, encouraging the development of new illustrators, and supervising the Norman Rockwell Family’s administration of the artist’s work and legacy.
