Trezor, a cryptocurrency hardware wallet firm, has apparently suffered a client database breach, with consumers receiving phishing emails with malicious links.
ZachXBT, a blockchain security analyst, presented a new analysis revealing that Trezor customers are receiving phishing emails to the email address they used to acquire the wallet.
According to ZachXBT, the alleged data breach comes from Trezor or its UK-based shipping partner firm Evri.
The situation gained attention after a user published a message on X (twitter) about receiving an email pushing them to update their Trezor software. The email appears to be from the official Trezor team, however it contains malicious links that lead to a phishing website.
Trezor has not issued an official statement about the event, nor has it confirmed a third-party hack. ZachXBT stated that the Trezor wallet is not having any problems.
