Trezor Celebrating 10th Anniversary With The Release of New Hardware Wallets

Trezor is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the release of three new self-custody products which include a new Trezor wallet, a solution for securely backing up private keys, and a wallet for Bitcoin (BTC).

On October 12, the organization with its headquarters in the Czech Republic introduced the Trezor Safe 3. It costs $79 and comes in four colors: sun gold, stellar silver, galactic rose, and cosmic black. This revolutionary hardware wallet can store more than 7,000 different coins.

Trezor underlined that this new wallet was released nearly five years after the company unveiled the Trezor Model T in February 2018.

Trezor wallet is dedicated to open-source development, which means it upholds the values of openness and cooperation. Trezor has selected a secure component manufacturer that enables them to communicate any security flaws they discover. In addition to the Trezor Safe 3, Trezor has unveiled the Trezor Keep Metal, a physical key storage device.

As stated previously, the seed phrase or private key must be protected since they are more significant than the actual wallet device. Having the seed phrase or private key enables a user to recover access to their funds even if they lose or destroy the hardware wallet.

Matej Zak, CEO of Trezor, sees Trezor Keep Metal as a crucial component of Trezor’s commitment to enhancing usability and advancing cryptocurrency acceptance globally.

For $99, the Trezor Keep Metal gives the ability to store 12-word and 24-word standard backup phrases. The Trezor Keep Metal, which costs $249 and can store three 20-word Shamir backup phrases, is also available. Only 2,013 of the limited-edition Bitcoin-only hardware wallets from Trezor are now available to mark the company’s anniversary.

Trezor has promised to donate $21 from each sale to support the Trezor Academy, a Bitcoin education program, as a way of expressing gratitude for the potential of Bitcoin to empower people in underserved and underprivileged regions.
