HayCoin, a cryptocurrency developed by Uniswap founder Hayden Adams, reached all-time highs when the founder destroyed 99.99% of the token supply.
Hyden initially deployed the token on Uniswap for testing purposes before to its launch in 2018. However, the crypto community has taken note of the developer’s coin and begun experimenting with it.
Hayden added that during the last week, individuals were purchasing and trading this currency in large quantities, treating HAY as a memecoin. “I’m uncomfortable owning almost the entire supply (~99.99%) of a token that people are memeing and speculating on,” that’s what he said.
HAY is now trading at $2.9 million with a total quantity of only 95 tokens after Hayden burned 99.99% of the supply on October 21. According to Coinmarketcap data, it has risen to $4.5 million.
The Uniswap founder went on to say that he is no longer connected with HayCoin and has burned all of the supply he had in his wallet. He went on to say that speculating on HAY is “silly,” and he urged that his pfp photo be removed from the token logo.
