ZETA token has dropped more than 95% on December 11 after a suspected rugpull from the StoicDAO team. The total funds drained in the rugpull amounts to 318 ETH, approximately $714k.
The DAO, which claims to be creating “AAA” games, revealed on X that a hack had compromised its secret wallet after its token ZETA had a 95% decline in just a few minutes. Users, however, are adamant that it was not a hack but rather a rugpull by the StoicDAO crew.
Some people said that the StoicDAO team didn’t actually make any games; instead, they only made a video and hired influencers to promote their tokens. Furthermore, it appears that MAIL and DECOM, two projects supported by StoicDAO, have hundreds of ETH.
A person on X (twitter) revealed the circumstances of the ZETA price decline. The guy claimed to have purchased 25 ETH worth of ZETA tokens and then sold them immediately. The user claimed that in a Telegram group, a StoicDAO team member had commented about his deal and condemned it.
